Students, families, teachers, classmates, members of the public, and even the Lieutenant Governor came together to celebrate the nearly 70 mathematical investigations of over 100 K-12 students from around the state at the VCTM Statewide Math Fair on April 6 on the University of Vermont campus (Burlington, VT). Students presented some remarkable projects across six different grade bands through both individual and class categories. The morning started bustling with excitement as students displayed projects throughout the second floor of Votey Hall. Throughout the day, students, parents, and community members engaged in mathematical tasks in our activity room while awaiting project interviews. At the closing ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor and Math Fair director shared words of wisdom to this next generation of promising mathematical followed by the awarding of winners and announcing final placements.
We invite you to check out the many splendid sights in our photo gallery of participant projects and math fair action that day!
