Our Annual Conference
VCTM will host a 2025 Conference for K-12 teachers of mathematics on March 21st, 2025 at Saint Michael's College. Please see more information at the #VCTM2025 event page!
There is currently a CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
This year's conference theme is Powerful Mathematics. Mathematical power is the know-how and confidence to use math to inform decisions and navigate the demands of daily life – whether personal, professional or civic. Educators can build each of their student’s mathematical power in many ways such as choosing a powerful mathematical curriculum, using evidence-based instruction and assessment or promoting equity and inclusion.
Presentations should align with at least one of the following strands: Powerful Mathematical Content, Evidence-Based Instruction and Assessment, or Equity and Inclusion.
Proposals are being accepted through Google Forms:
Proposals are due on October 31, 2024 and final decisions will be made before December 15, 2024. You may submit more than one proposal.
If your proposal is chosen, then the lead presenter's conference fees will be paid.
Please specify who the lead presenter is if there is more than one presenter. All presentations will be given a 50 minute time slot.
